On May 7, the Board of Directors of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company approved the 2024 business plan to be presented and discussed at the upcoming Annual General Meeting of Shareholders.

The company targets a net revenue of VND 7,750 billion this year, with fruit trees contributing VND 5,540 billion, pig-banana accounting for VND 1,550 billion, and products and goods making up the remaining VND 660 billion.

If achieved, this would be the highest revenue in the company’s history.

The projected net profit for 2024 is VND 1,320 billion. This represents a 26% decrease from the previous year’s profit of VND 1,782 billion, while the revenue target shows a 20% increase from 2023’s VND 6,442 billion.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai plans to focus on expanding its fruit tree business this year, including planting an additional 2,000 hectares of banana plantations, bringing the total area to 9,000 hectares, and adding 500 hectares of durian trees, resulting in a total of 2,000 hectares.

In the lead-up to the shareholder meeting, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thang stepped down from the Board of Directors after more than 30 years with the group. The upcoming meeting will elect one new member to the Board of Directors and one new member to the Supervisory Board.
