On May 24, the Investigative Agency of the Ministry of Public Security decided to prosecute and arrest or prohibit from residing outside the residence against Mr. Le Quang Thung (former General Director and former Acting Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Rubber Industry Corporation) and Mr. Huynh Trung Truc (former Deputy General Director of the Corporation).
Both former leaders of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Corporation are being investigated for the crime of violating regulations on the management and use of state assets, causing waste and loss.

On the same day, the Investigative Agency of the Ministry of Public Security also decided to prosecute the following defendants: Nguyen Thi Gai (former General Director of Dong Nai Rubber Company); Nguyen Cong Tai (former Chairman of the Members’ Council of Ba Ria Rubber Company); and Nguyen Trong Canh (former Deputy General Director of Ba Ria Rubber Company).

Le Y Linh (former Director of Viet Tin General Trading Company Limited); Dang Phuoc Dua (former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viet Tin Commercial Investment Joint Stock Company); and Nguyen Thanh Chau (former Chairman of the Members’ Council of Dong Nai Rubber Company).
The above-mentioned individuals are also being investigated for the crime of violating regulations on the management and use of state assets, causing waste and loss.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, the former general director of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Corporation and the co-defendants violated regulations in the project of land lot 39-39B Ben Van Don, Ward 12, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City.
The Investigative Agency of the Ministry of Public Security is consolidating documents and evidence regarding the violations of the prosecuted defendants, while continuing to expand the investigation of the case, clarify other violations of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Corporation, related units, organizations, and individuals, and apply measures in accordance with the law to thoroughly recover state assets.
