The recently concluded Watches & Wonders 2024 event captivated the attention of watch enthusiasts worldwide, featuring renowned brands and their latest, most innovative timepieces. Among them, sports watches stole the spotlight with their bold designs, superior functionality, and stylish appeal, catering to the needs of adventurous and dynamic enthusiasts.

Patek Philippe Elevates Sports Watches

At Watches and Wonders 2024, all eyes were on the stunning quartet of sports watches crafted from precious rose and white gold.

The Nautilus 5980/60G in white gold boasts a modern design paired with a quintessential sports chronograph flyback movement. Its Opaline blue dial is complemented by a hand-stitched calfskin strap in a denim-style pattern or a matching white gold fold-over clasp and a blue rubber strap, exuding a charming vintage appeal.

The 5164G in white gold elevates the innate elegance of the Aquanaut line. Its Travel Time function, powered by the in-house manufactured 26-330 S C FUS movement, effortlessly displays two time zones with unparalleled simplicity.

Tailored for the feminine wrist, the Ref. 5296R-001 combines a rose gold case with an exclusive Patek Philippe premium rubber strap. Blending modern sports aesthetics with vintage charm, this timepiece becomes a lucky charm for the adventurous woman.

Set Sail with Vacheron Constantin

Vacheron Constantin’s sports watch collection welcomes two new Overseas models, amplifying the spirit of adventure.

The new Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon Openwork in titanium showcases a pioneering spirit that resonates perfectly with the collection’s wanderlust theme. Crafted entirely from titanium, from the case to the strap and the crown to the bezel, it features the collection’s signature blue dial and is powered by the ultra-thin self-winding Calibre 2160 movement.

A stunning tourbillon rotates at 6 o’clock through an openworked dial. The movement features a 22K gold peripheral rotor that winds the watch and ensures a power reserve of up to 72 hours. This Overseas model also comes with an integrated titanium bracelet (equipped with a triple-blade titanium folding clasp) that can be easily interchanged without tools with two additional straps in blue rubber and alligator leather (equipped with titanium folding clasps).

Vibrant green hues grace the dials and interchangeable straps of four new Overseas models in rose gold: a 35 mm gem-set model, a 41 mm date model, a 42.5 mm chronograph, and a 41 mm dual-time watch. Water-resistant to 150 meters, each watch is powered by a high-quality self-winding movement with a compass rose-shaped oscillating weight. These models, like all Overseas watches, feature easily adjustable rose gold folding clasps on their rose gold bracelets. The green alligator leather and rubber straps also come in the same shade of green and are equipped with pin buckles for easy interchangeability at home.

Chopard Revitalizes the Alps

Chopard’s sports watch offerings at Watches and Wonders include two versions of the Alpine Eagle with “Frozen Summit” dials, a 41mm model in innovative titanium, and a Chronograph XL version.

With the Alpine Eagle, Chopard has created a contemporary sports-chic collection that combines refined design with intricate mechanisms. The Alpine Eagle Frozen Summit, with a diameter of only 33 mm, blends the House’s watchmaking expertise with exquisite gem-setting craftsmanship.

Inspired by the beauty of Mother Nature, this dazzling timepiece evokes the frosted crystals that blanket glaciers: its case, bezel, dial, and integrated bracelet in ethical 18-carat white gold are entirely set with diamonds. Beyond its stunning appearance, the watch is equipped with the L.U.C 09.01-C self-winding movement, ensuring a power reserve of up to 42 hours. A 41mm version with a similar dial design is also available for gentlemen.

Crafted entirely from ethical 18-carat white gold, the 41 mm case, along with the dial, bezel, crown, and integrated bracelet, is entirely set with diamonds. The watch evokes the extraordinary beauty of stars reflecting on a glacier. The ultra-thin L.U.C 96.41-L movement features a self-winding mechanism via a micro-rotor and provides a power reserve of up to 65 hours.

Chopard also showcases its progressive side by introducing modern titanium to the Alpine Eagle collection. The neo-classic Alpine Eagle design now includes a skeletonized model with a case made from grade 5 titanium, known for its exceptional durability and lightweight properties.

Crafted from titanium, the watch case has a slightly darker hue than steel, creating a lightweight feel. Thanks to its ultra-thin movement, the case thickness is reduced to 8mm, resulting in streamlined edges and contours compared to other Alpine Eagle models.

In Vietnam, the Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, and Chopard watch brands are officially distributed by Tam Son International Company. For more information, please visit: https://tamsonvn.com/
