Significant Changes Ahead?

Rumors surrounding Apple’s upcoming affordable smartphone, expected to launch in 2025, have sparked excitement among tech enthusiasts.

According to a recent revelation by the tech website MacRumors, the iPhone SE 4 will be priced at $429 in the US, approximately 10.9 million VND, or a 10% increase compared to its predecessor, the SE 3. Even with this potential price hike, the phone will still remain under $500, making it an incredibly attractive proposition.

Znews, citing The Information, reports that Apple is planning a significant redesign for the iPhone SE 4. The device is expected to feature a “notch” design, a notable upgrade for this budget-friendly iPhone series.

Additionally, the source reveals that the iPhone SE 4 will sport a larger 6.1-inch OLED display, a significant upgrade from the LCD screens of its predecessors.

In terms of performance, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to be equipped with the powerful Apple A15 Bionic chip, previously seen in the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 standard models. This ensures smooth and reliable performance across a range of tasks.

Prior to this, Vietnamnet, citing 91mobiles, revealed that the iPhone SE 4 is expected to have larger dimensions than its predecessor, measuring 147.7 x 71.5 x 7.7mm, compared to the iPhone SE 2022’s 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 mm.

A Threat to Mid-Range Android Smartphones

The mid-range smartphone market is highly competitive, with Android manufacturers battling it out. However, Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE 4 is poised to disrupt this segment.

While the current iPhone SE 3 boasts impressive performance thanks to its A15 Bionic chip, its design is dated, featuring a small 4.7-inch LCD screen and thick bezels.

Leaks suggest that the new iPhone SE will offer significant upgrades over its predecessor, including a more modern design and competitive pricing. This combination is expected to create a frenzy in the market, as Apple has never offered a “notch” smartphone at such an affordable price point.

Beyond design and specifications, the iPhone SE 4’s pricing is its most significant advantage over mid-range Android smartphones. Compared to its Android counterparts, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to offer a larger OLED screen, the powerful A15 Bionic chip, a stable iOS experience, and the renowned Apple brand reputation.
