This partnership lays the foundation for large-scale event organization infused with Korean culture at Vinhomes urban areas and promotes Vingroup’s products and services to the Korean community.

As per the collaboration agreement, the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup will jointly promote and organize cultural tourism events at Vinhomes destinations nationwide, contributing to the spread of Korean culture in Vietnam.

On May 25-26, Vingroup, in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization, hosted the Korea Travel Festa and Summer K-Day events.

Both parties committed to conducting cultural and tourism promotion activities. Specifically, the Korea Tourism Organization will support introducing brands such as Vinhomes, VinFast, Vinpearl, and Vincom to the Korean community in Vietnam and Korean citizens in the future. In return, Vingroup will cooperate with the Korea Tourism Organization to promote and develop incentive tourism to Korea.

Kicking off the partnership, the Korea Travel Festa and Summer K-Day took place on May 25-26, 2024, at K-Town and VinWonders Wave Park in Vinhomes Ocean Park 2. The Korea Travel Festa featured K-POP and V-POP performances and booths promoting services and tourism for the Korean community and Hallyu fans. Meanwhile, Summer K-Day showcased a range of exciting “Korean-style” experiential activities.

Korean influences are already evident in some Vinhomes urban areas, making them attractive destinations for the Korean community in Vietnam.

Following Vinhomes Ocean Park 2, the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup will continue to collaborate on cultural activities, expanding their scope and quality at Vingroup destinations nationwide. This promises to bring captivating cultural, recreational, and entertainment events to the community.

“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992, Vietnam and South Korea have achieved fruitful cooperation in various fields, including politics and economics. People-to-people exchanges have been vibrant, with over four million tourists between our countries in 2023 alone. Today’s agreement between Vingroup and the Korea Tourism Organization sets a mutual goal of expanding exchanges and further promoting tourism and cultural cooperation between our nations,” said Lee Hak Ju, Deputy Director of the Korea Tourism Organization.

Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Vingroup, shared, “With the Korea Tourism Organization’s support, Vingroup will launch a series of cultural events, experiential activities, and superior services targeting Korean customers and residents. We will also refine our product planning and destinations to better serve the community.”

Korean influences are already evident in some Vinhomes urban areas, creating attractive “touchpoints” for the Korean community in Vietnam and those who admire Korean culture. Examples include K-Town in Vinhomes Ocean Park 2, K-Park in Vinhomes Royal Island, and the KGS international school in Vinhomes Ocean Park 1 and Vinhomes Grand Park.

In addition to infrastructure, Vingroup and its ecosystem brands frequently organize entertainment, art, and culinary events infused with Korean flavors, such as K-Day in K-Town, K-Food Fair, and K-Festival in Grand Park. These events attract tens of thousands of participants, making them special occasions celebrating Korean culture.

The memorandum of understanding between the Korea Tourism Organization and Vingroup was signed amid a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two governments, prioritizing cultural exchanges, developing new tourism products, and promoting bilateral tourism. The Korean community in Vietnam is the tenth-largest overseas Korean community globally and the second-largest in Southeast Asia. Vietnam is also the top Southeast Asian market for Korean tourism, including MICE tourism.
