Following the investment deal, Yaoko Group (Japan) will become a strategic partner of Sophie Investment, the parent company of Green Sky (Limited Company for Investment and Development of Blue Sky) – the operator of 9 3Sach grocery stores in Ho Chi Minh City.

A New Step Forward for 3Sach After Over a Decade of Development

3Sach entered the Vietnamese market in 2013 with a chain of fresh grocery stores and quickly conquered the middle-income customer segment in Ho Chi Minh City. With 9 stores, 2 production kitchens, and a central warehouse in the city, 3Sach is one of the few retail chains that own a separate food production factory, specializing in providing ready-to-eat meals such as bread, spring rolls, etc., for both its system and other units.

Recently, 3Sach successfully raised capital from the Yaoko Group. Established in 1890 and headquartered in Japan, Yaoko mainly operates in the food retail industry. The group currently has 230 stores (including affiliated companies) that offer a diverse range of products, from fresh food to ready-made side dishes and daily consumer goods.

Sharing their decision to invest in Vietnam, Yaoko Group’s representative stated in the latest press release that they recognized Vietnam as a market with a young and growing population, leading to a strong demand for grocery stores. This partnership not only marks a significant milestone as the first time the Japanese group has invested in a foreign company but also aligns with Yaoko’s strategic goal of international market expansion. It further demonstrates the group’s trust and commitment to Vietnam’s potential.

On 3Sach’s side, with Yaoko’s vast ecosystem support, the company pledges to strive for exceptional growth and create greater value for its customers and the community.

“Partnering with this Japanese group not only provides us with an opportunity to expand our business but also marks a memorable step forward in our journey to fulfill 3Sach’s mission of providing safe and clean food for everyone,” affirmed 3Sach’s representative.

Laying the Groundwork for 3Sach’s Future Growth Plans

With the successful capital raise from the Yaoko Group, 3Sach will undergo significant changes in its business operations and enhance its brand reputation. The company focuses on three core objectives.

Specifically, 3Sach will receive not only financial support but also gain access to new production techniques and store management and leadership methods from a group with over 130 years of experience in Japan. This lays the foundation for the grocery chain to enhance its product quality, services, and operational processes in the future.

“3Sach is one of the few units that can apply Yaoko’s expertise to its central kitchen (CK). In addition, we are heavily investing in a new management system, emphasizing business operation modernization, and optimizing human resources. This helps improve the chain’s product and service quality,” explained 3Sach’s representative.

In addition to enhancing product quality, 3Sach focuses on expanding its store network, improving logistics capabilities, and developing e-commerce to broaden its reach. According to 3Sach’s representative, the new stores will feature areas for processing fresh food to cater to customers who don’t have much time to cook.

Receiving a substantial investment backed by Japan’s leading group also provides a foundation for 3Sach to achieve its future development plans, thereby enhancing its reputation and helping partners and consumers trust its brand.

“We are delighted to collaborate with the reputable and experienced Yaoko Group. By combining 3Sach’s expertise with Yaoko’s strengths, we expect to achieve great success in the future and positively contribute to the development of Vietnam’s clean food industry,” 3Sach’s representative added.

With this vision and commitment, 3Sach is striving to add a bright touch to Vietnam’s clean food market landscape, creating a notable breakthrough in the industry.
