The Casumina Board of Management has recently convened an extraordinary general meeting for 2024. The main agenda item was to appoint new members to the Board of Management for the 2021-2026 term and address other pertinent matters within their purview.
The shareholder list will be finalized on July 3rd, and the meeting is expected to take place on July 26th, 2024, at the company’s transaction office located at 146 Nguyen Bieu, Ward 2, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
Regarding personnel changes, Mr. Bui Van Thang, Chairman of the Casumina Board of Management, has signed off on several key management appointments.
Effective June 12, 2024, Mr. Nguyen Van Hien (born in 1974) and Mr. Nguyen Anh (born in 1976) have been appointed as Deputy General Directors of Casumina. Mr. Hien has also been entrusted with the duties of the General Director until the company appoints a new one.
Prior to these appointments, Mr. Hien served as Head of the Planning, Investment, and Energy Department at Casumina, while Mr. Anh was the Director of the Radial Tire Enterprise.
The Casumina Board of Management has also approved the dismissal of Mr. Pham Hong Phu from his position as General Director and Mr. Nguyen Minh Thien from his role as Deputy General Director. The Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem) has endorsed the cessation of their representation of capital contributions at Casumina for these two individuals.

Notably, Mr. Phu and Mr. Thien, who were serving as the General Director and Deputy General Director, respectively, have been arrested by the Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security (C03) and are under temporary detention for “Violation of regulations on the management and use of state assets, causing waste and loss.”
In light of these developments, Casumina has affirmed its willingness to cooperate with relevant parties to assist in the investigation. The company will also take necessary measures to protect the legitimate interests of the company, its customers, partners, and shareholders.
