This project is considered a pioneer in enterprise management, applying the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution in the field of electric motorcycle manufacturing and business, implemented by FPT IS in Vietnam.
Founded in 2019, Dat Bike is a company specializing in electric motorcycle manufacturing with the goal of transitioning the motorcycle market from gasoline to electric power. Dat Bike aims to become the leading Vietnamese electric motorcycle manufacturer in the region, with the aspiration to “greenify” the two-wheeler market, valued at $8 billion domestically and $25 billion in Southeast Asia. After launching the Quantum scooter product line in late 2023, Dat Bike recorded a monthly sales increase of up to tenfold compared to the previous period, while the two-wheeler electric vehicle industry in Vietnam also grew by over 30% each year. With its rapid development, Dat Bike needed a good enterprise management platform to accommodate its business expansion and market growth.
With a strategic vision for business and technology, along with consulting from FPT IS, Dat Bike’s leadership decided to invest in and choose the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solution. This decision enables Dat Bike to adopt global management standards and optimize its operations through cloud technology. The project was agreed upon and implemented within just three months. Given the company’s comprehensive operations, from manufacturing to distribution and sales, and its small-scale personnel, the digital transformation journey and rapid development made the implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud a significant “transformation” milestone. It helped Dat Bike maintain a lean workforce while ensuring efficient operations and management.
Specifically, FPT IS is expected to deploy the solution for Dat Bike across multiple systems, including production, distribution, and sales, on an enterprise-wide scale, covering both Vietnam and Southeast Asia. The solution will be implemented with the following modules: Sales, Sourcing and Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Integration to eInvoice System, and Quality Management.
Adopting SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud will enable Dat Bike to generate real-time reports and produce financial statements that comply with Vietnamese and international accounting standards, attracting domestic and foreign partners. This foundation is crucial for the company to ensure rapid, synchronized, and sustainable development.
