The UPCoM-Index showed a downward trend in the last week of June 2024, closing at 97.54 points, a 1.73% increase compared to the end of May. The average trading volume was approximately 81.6 million shares per session, and the average value of transactions was nearly VND 1,592 billion per session, a 0.6% decrease in volume and a 19.95% increase in value.
In June, foreign investors’ transactions significantly decreased compared to May, with a total value of over VND 2,066 billion, a 63% drop. During this period, foreign investors net sold approximately VND 221 billion.
Stocks like MCH, ACV, and BSR were the most bought by foreign investors, while VEA, ACV, and CLX were among the most sold.
Self-operated transactions by securities companies reached VND 118 billion, a 66% increase compared to May, with a buying value of VND 52.91 billion and a selling value of VND 65.8 billion.
In June, the UPCoM market welcomed 27 new enterprises, bringing the total number of registered businesses to 878 as of the end of June, with a registered transaction value of over VND 438 trillion.
The market capitalization of the UPCoM market as of June 30, 2024, reached VND 1,651 trillion, a 36.2% increase compared to the end of 2023.
Once a formidable competitor in the stock market, the total market capitalization of the entire real estate industry is now less than the combined market capitalization of three banks.
If you combine the market cap of Vietcombank and BIDV, along with the market cap of Vietinbank (which is approximately 960 trillion VND), it already surpasses the market cap of the top 30 largest real estate enterprises (which is around 788 trillion VND).
