On July 5th, the Management Board of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks approved the decision of the Thanh Hoa People’s Committee (Decision No. 2643 dated June 25th) on the approval of the 1/2000 construction planning subdivision of the western Thanh Hoa city industrial park, Thanh Hoa province.
Accordingly, the planning scope covers an area of approximately 645.2 hectares, belonging to the administrative boundaries of Dong Tien and Dong Thang communes in Trieu Son district, and Dong Hoa, Dong Yen, Dong Van, and Dong Phu communes in Dong Son district.
The planning indicators for land use include nearly 448 hectares of land for factories and enterprises; 36.39 hectares for administrative, public, and service purposes; 8.12 hectares for technical infrastructure; 65.41 hectares for green spaces; over 19.6 hectares of water bodies; and 67.7 hectares for transportation. The industrial park is expected to accommodate a workforce of 30,000 to 40,000 people.
In terms of nature and function, the industrial park is a multi-sectoral, high-tech, and environmentally friendly zone, prioritizing industries such as electricity, electronics, telecommunications, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, automotive and motorcycle manufacturing, construction equipment, medical equipment, consumer goods production, and auxiliary industrial products.
The industrial park is divided into two sub-zones: Zone A, with an area of approximately 375 hectares, located south of the road from Thanh Hoa city to Tho Xuan Airport; and Zone B, with an area of about 270.2 hectares, located north of the same road.
Earlier, on May 20th, the People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa province approved the 1/2000 construction planning subdivision of Phu Quy Industrial Park, located in seven communes of Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province.
Phu Quy Industrial Park has a total planned area of 540 hectares, covering parts of the administrative management areas of the following communes: Hoang Kim (27.2 ha), Hoang Trinh (16.4 ha), Hoang Son (13.8 ha), Hoang Quy (219.2 ha), Hoang Xuyen (128.7 ha), Hoang Cat (48.5 ha), and Hoang Quy (86.2 ha). The project is expected to employ a workforce of 36,000 to 58,500 people.
A new 540-hectare industrial park is coming soon to Thanh Hoa
According to the planning for Thanh Hoa province for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2045, approved by the Prime Minister on February 27, 2023, in addition to the eight existing industrial parks, Thanh Hoa province plans to add 11 new industrial parks, including Phu Quy and the western Thanh Hoa city industrial park. These two newly added industrial parks also have the largest planned areas in the province.
