Get Ready for the Construction of a New Expressway Worth Over VND 6,100 Billion in Dong Thap Province

Towards the end of this year, the People's Committee of Dong Thap Province is expected to commence construction on the My An - Cao Lanh expressway, a 27-kilometer-long project with a total investment of over VND 6,100 billion.

In the July 5 meeting with the press, Mr. Nguyen Cong Minh, Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Thap Province, announced that the provincial leaders had worked with the My Thuan Project Management Board regarding the preparation for the construction of the My An – Cao Lanh Expressway.

According to the My Thuan Project Management Board, the first phase of the My An – Cao Lanh Expressway project is nearly 27 km long, located in Dong Thap province, with a total investment of over VND 6,100 billion from Korean ODA loans and Vietnam’s counterpart funds.

So far, the unit has completed the site clearance milestone handover to the People’s Committees of Thap Muoi and Cao Lanh districts, held meetings with the people to announce the investment policy for the project, and defined the site clearance scope. Local authorities are conducting surveys and inventory of assets on the land.

Dong Thap province is determined to commence the construction of the My An – Cao Lanh Expressway in December.

Regarding sand backfilling for the first phase of the My An – Cao Lanh Expressway project, approximately 3.1 million cubic meters are required. The My Thuan Project Management Board requested the People’s Committee of Dong Thap province to provide information on the expected sand mines for the project so that the consulting unit can conduct surveys and complete the necessary documents.
