The MTA Vietnam 2024 exhibition showcased an impressive presence of Taiwanese businesses, offering not just advanced, high-quality products, but also solidifying their commitment to sustainable collaboration and development with the Vietnamese market.

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) gathered 65 companies from four major associations in the machine tool industry for this event.

TAITRA launched the “Green Transformation for a Green Earth” campaign, organizing five themed press conferences and presentations. They unveiled over 18 sustainable smart manufacturing solutions from Taiwanese companies, including smart automation technologies. These solutions attracted the interest of nearly 1,000 visitors with their diverse products and services, generating an estimated $13 million in business opportunities.

Mr. Chang Wen Chung, Director of the Economic Division at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City, shared at the opening press conference: “Vietnam is on a recovery path, with an expected GDP growth rate of 5.5% in 2024. Taiwan has a strong foundation in information and telecommunication technology equipment and a complete machine tool supply chain. Taiwanese businesses can, therefore, provide customized smart manufacturing solutions and technologies to Vietnamese enterprises, supporting Vietnam’s sustainable manufacturing future.”

Taiwanese companies such as ChinFong, HIWIN, SuperAIR, GMW, Winho, and Combitech showcased their leadership in providing advanced technology and automation solutions.

Representing ChinFong, one of Taiwan’s leading manufacturers of presses and metalworking machinery, Mr. Jiro Wang shared, “We are committed to offering high-quality solutions and comprehensive technical support to our customers in Vietnam. This collaboration not only boosts economic development but also enhances Vietnam’s production capabilities and technological innovation.”

HIWIN, a top manufacturer of motion control systems and automation components, also emphasized their focus on enhancing production efficiency and process optimization. Mr. Richard Chen, representing HIWIN, stated, “We believe in the potential of the Vietnamese market and are dedicated to partnering with local businesses in adopting the most advanced technologies to bring the highest value to our customers.”

SuperAIR and GMW, prominent names in the field of control equipment and technology, highlighted their flexibility in customer support and commitment to delivering products that meet the highest quality standards. Meanwhile, Winho and Combitech, representing innovation and creativity in automation technology, continuously strive to bring smart and efficient solutions to Vietnamese enterprises.

Ms. Wenchen Chen, Secretary-General of the Taiwan Intelligent Robot Association (TAIROA), shared a similar sentiment: “We hope that the relationship between Taiwan and Vietnam will continue to strengthen through enhanced cooperation and knowledge sharing in the fields of Industry 4.0 and automation.”

The MTA Vietnam 2024 exhibition not only enhanced production capabilities and technological innovation but also opened up new economic collaboration opportunities, fostering sustainable development for both Vietnam and Taiwan.
