Mr. Luu Binh Nhoung has been prosecuted and detained
 Mr. Le Thanh Van prior to his prosecution by the Investigation Agency of the Police of Thai Binh Province

On the afternoon of July 10, the Police of Thai Binh Province announced that the Investigation Agency of the Provincial Police had decided to initiate legal proceedings and prosecute Mr. Le Thanh Van (born in 1964, residing in Chuong Duong Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) and issued a temporary detention order and a search warrant.
Mr. Van was prosecuted and temporarily detained for the act of abusing his position and power to influence others for personal gain as stipulated in Article 358 of the Penal Code.
Mr. Van was a deputy of the 15th National Assembly.
According to the Police of Thai Binh Province, this is a development in the process of expanding the investigation of the case of Mr. Luu Binh Nhoung and his accomplices for the crimes of “Robbery of property” and “Abuse of position and power to influence others for personal gain” occurring in Thai Binh Province.
Currently, the Police of Thai Binh Province is urgently collecting and consolidating documents and evidence and expanding the investigation of the case and recovering assets in accordance with the law.
