Meet the new Chairwoman of SBT, Dang Huynh Uc My

Prior to her appointment as Chairwoman, Dang Huynh Uc My served as Vice Chairwoman of Thanh Thanh Cong – Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company.
Ms. My is the daughter of Mrs. Ngoc and Mr. Thanh (Mr. Dang Van Thanh, Chairman of Thanh Thanh Cong Group). Ms. My is also known as the “Sugar Princess.” She currently owns nearly 145 million SBT shares, equivalent to 19.02% of the capital.
Her husband, Mr. Truong Hong Quan, her brother, Mr. Dang Hong Anh, and her father, Mr. Dang Van Thanh, do not own any shares in this company.
Prior to her appointment as Chairwoman of SBT, Ms. My registered to sell 70 million SBT shares to restructure her investment portfolio. The trading period was from July 12 to August 10, and the sale was to be conducted through matching and/or put-through orders.
If the sale is successful, Ms. My’s ownership in SBT will decrease to 9.84%, equivalent to 74.9 million SBT shares.
The previous Chairwoman, Huynh Bich Ngoc, was elected to the Board of Directors for a five-year term starting July 12, 2019. Her term has now ended, and as of July 13, she is no longer a member of the Board and cannot serve as Chairwoman.
