Infographic: Stock Market Outlook for the Week of July 15-19: “Forget” 1,300 Points, Focus on Stock Picking

The stock market presents a unique opportunity for long-term, risk-tolerant investors. Instead of fixating on the VN-Index and its pursuit of the 1,300-point milestone, savvy investors would do well to turn their attention to fundamentally strong stocks with solid prospects that are currently trading at attractive valuations. This strategic shift in focus opens up a world of potential, allowing investors to identify hidden gems that may have been overlooked by those solely focused on the index. It's time to embrace a more nuanced approach to investing, one that recognizes the potential that lies beyond the confines of benchmark indices.

Despite the slight decline in the VN-Index, the robust growth of the chemical sector played a crucial role in preventing the index from falling too deeply.

The industry that made the most positive contribution to the VN-Index was the chemical sector (3.32 points), while the industry that had the most negative impact on the index was the financial sector (-4.19 points). Foreign investors continued to net sell over VND 4,569 billion on the HoSE.
