Hyundai Motor India has unveiled a special edition of its compact SUV, the Exter, also known as the Hyundai Grand i10 SUV, named the Knight Edition. This new variant made its debut in dealerships across India in early July, with a starting price of 8.39 lakh Rs (approximately 237 million VND).
The Hyundai Exter Knight Edition retains the same dimensions as the standard model, measuring 3,815mm in length, 1,710mm in width, and 1,631mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,450mm. The distinctive features of this edition include black mudguards and a red stripe across the top, along with blacked-out Hyundai logo and ‘Exter’ badge.
The alloy wheels feature a similar design to the standard Exter but are now finished in black with red brake calipers.
At the rear, the Exter Knight Edition boasts a black bumper garnish, red accents on the rear doors, and a “Knight” emblem.
The interior of the Knight Edition is predominantly black, with contrasting red accents and stitching, red floor illumination, black satin door handles and steering wheel, metal scuff plates, red-stitched floor mats, and new Knight-branded seats with red stitching and piping.
Under the hood, the Hyundai Exter Knight Edition is powered by a 1.2-liter NA petrol engine, mated to either a 5-speed manual or an AMT automatic transmission. This powertrain delivers a maximum output of 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, the Knight Edition offers CNG-powered variants with single or dual fuel tank options.
In the Indian market, the Hyundai Exter Knight Edition is available in four variants: SX, SX Dual Tone, SX (O) Connect, and SX (O) Connect Dual Tone. It comes in two new colors, Shadow Grey and Abyss Black, as well as existing colors such as Atlas White, Starry Night, Shadow Grey, Ranger Khaki, and Shadow Grey with a black roof.
