After the former FLC Group Chairman, Trinh Van Quyet, was prosecuted and temporarily detained in March 2022, a series of his assets, including luxury yachts and expensive supercars, were consecutively confiscated, auctioned, and sold by banks.
The Million-Dollar Yacht That Failed Seven Auctions
First and foremost, the FLC Albatross yacht, worth millions of dollars, has gone through seven auctions and still hasn’t found a buyer.
This yacht was seized by BIDV Quy Nhon Branch to recover debts. Since its first auction in November 2022, with a starting price of VND 3.6 billion, the auction organizer, Minh Phap Joint Stock Auction Company, has lowered the price to only VND 2.3294 billion in the seventh auction, a reduction of nearly VND 1.3 billion compared to the initial asking price.
However, after seven auction announcements, FLC Albatross remains unsold.
Currently, the yacht is moored at Sa Ke Wharf, No. 440/6 No Trang Long, Ward 13, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. The FLC Albatross yacht used to bear the license plate HN-2014 of the FLC Group and had a capacity of 12 people.

The yacht belongs to the Galeon 660 Fly line, built in Poland in 2017, with a designed length of 16.62m, a maximum length of 21.95m, a designed width of 4.88m, a maximum width of 5.25m, a hull height of 3.15m, and a draft of 1.15m. The yacht has four bedrooms, evenly divided between the first floor and the basement.
Mr. Trinh Van Quyet (former Chairman of FLC) imported the yacht to Vietnam in 2018, after which the FLC Group assigned it to FLC Biscom Golf and Yacht Investment Joint Stock Company.
Gold-Plated Rolls-Royce Ghost
Apart from the yacht, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet also owns several luxury cars, specifically two Rolls-Royce vehicles that have gained significant media attention after being repeatedly auctioned and discounted by banks.
One of them, the gold-plated Rolls-Royce Ghost, went through six auctions before finding a new owner. The starting price for the sixth auction was VND 8.57 billion.

Rolls-Royce Ghost Gold
According to BIDV’s announcement on August 10, 2022, regarding the seizure of secured assets to recover loan debts in Hanoi, the Rolls-Royce with license plate number 30F-187.88 was pledged as security for a loan of FLC Faros Construction Joint Stock Company. The collateral for this loan was provided by FLC Homes Joint Stock Company (formerly known as FLC Biscom Golf and Yacht Investment Joint Stock Company).
As per the registration certificate issued by the Hanoi Traffic Police – Hanoi City Public Security on May 26, 2018, the car is registered under the name of FLCHomes.
In April 2023, the car was sold to a car enthusiast in Dong Nai Province at the sixth auction. However, the successful bidding price for the Rolls-Royce was not disclosed, and some sources suggest that a showroom subsequently purchased the vehicle.
It is known that this gold-plated supercar, named Rolls-Royce Ghost, was manufactured in England in 2011 and first appeared in Vietnam in 2013, with its license plate registered in mid-2018.
Rolls-Royce Phantom “Lửa Thiêng”
The other Rolls-Royce frequently used by Mr. Trinh Van Quyet is the Rolls-Royce Phantom “Lửa Thiêng.” This vehicle served as collateral for a loan taken by FLC Land at Orient Commercial Joint Stock Bank (OCB). From November 2022 to May 16, 2023, the Rolls-Royce Phantom “Lửa Thiêng” went through a total of seven auctions.
In the first auction, the car was offered with a starting price of over VND 2.8 billion, excluding notary fees, sales contract of auctioned property, and applicable taxes.
By the seventh auction in May 2023, the price had dropped to VND 16.6 billion, a reduction of VND 11.4 billion compared to the initial auction. Consequently, a well-known car showroom in Hanoi successfully bid for the car.

Rolls-Royce Phantom “Lửa Thiêng” formerly bore the license plate 30E-133.88
The Rolls-Royce Phantom “Lửa Thiêng” used to bear the license plate 30E-133.88 and was registered under the name of RTS Financial Investment and Asset Management Company Limited. When the Hanoi showroom won the bid, they registered a new license plate for the car. The new license plate number of the Rolls-Royce Phantom “Lửa Thiêng” is 30K-332.12.
Upon winning the auction, the showroom immediately offered the Rolls-Royce Phantom “Lửa Thiêng” for sale at a price ranging from VND 24 billion to VND 26 billion. Currently, this unique car has found a new owner, although the identity of the mysterious tycoon and the amount paid to acquire the vehicle remain undisclosed.
The “Lửa Thiêng” version belongs to the Phantom Dong Son collection, which includes “Lửa Thiêng,” “Thủy Triều,” “Thần Núi,” “Ngân Vũ,” “Phù Sa,” and “Mẹ Âu Cơ.” The Rolls-Royce Phantom “Lửa Thiêng” stands out with its two-tone color scheme of pink gold and burgundy wine in both the interior and exterior.
This collection was conceived by the former distributor of Rolls-Royce in Vietnam, but only “Lửa Thiêng” has been produced so far, as there were no buyers for the other five designs.
This unique Rolls-Royce Phantom belongs to the EWB Series II variant. Its dimensions are as follows: length – 6,092 mm, width – 1,990 mm, height – 1,640 mm, and wheelbase – 3,820 mm.
Similar to the standard version, the Rolls-Royce Phantom “Lửa Thiêng” is powered by a 6.75-liter V12 engine that generates 454 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque. The car is equipped with a ZF 8-speed transmission and a four-wheel drive system, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds.
Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman
Additionally, the former FLC Chairman also owned the rare Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman, a favorite among many world leaders, such as Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, and the President of India.
Only two Maybach S600 Pullmans were imported into Vietnam, one in white, often seen at the headquarters of the TTC Group in Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, and the other in black, owned by Trinh Van Quyet.
