The Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the State Funeral Committee, and the family of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, would like to express our sincere gratitude to all Vietnamese people, comrades, and soldiers across the country, as well as overseas Vietnamese and international friends, for their profound sentiments, boundless sorrow, and deep respect for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. We appreciate everyone who paid their respects, sent condolences, attended the funeral, and accompanied Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, on his final journey to join the glorious history of the heroic, cultured, and civilized Vietnamese nation.
In the past few days, millions of Vietnamese people and international friends turned their attention to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dong Hoi, where the National Funeral for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was held. Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the country braved long distances and inclement weather to respectfully line the route and bid farewell to the General Secretary on his last journey. We have received condolences from hundreds of leaders of countries and territories, and hundreds of international delegations attended the funeral and burial ceremonies. Thousands of delegations comprising hundreds of thousands of people came to pay their respects to the General Secretary, and thousands more paid their respects at our representative agencies abroad.
Once again, the State Funeral Committee and the family of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong would like to express our deepest gratitude for the special sentiments of the Vietnamese people, comrades, and soldiers across the country, as well as overseas Vietnamese and international friends, towards Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, and towards the country and people of Vietnam, a heroic, cultured, and civilized nation.
