As we step into August 2024, dealerships continue to offer massive discounts on the Nissan Kicks B-segment SUV to clear out inventory.

Specifically, a dealership in Ho Chi Minh City is offering the Nissan Kicks V at a discounted price of 618 million VND, a reduction of 240 million VND from its original price of 858 million VND.

Meanwhile, in Hanoi, this B-class SUV is offered with slightly lower discounts, ranging from 220 to 230 million VND. Depending on the dealership, customers who purchase the vehicle during this period may also receive a complimentary accessory package worth 10 to 15 million VND.

The Nissan Kicks is currently one of the most heavily discounted B-segment SUVs in the Vietnamese market. However, despite the significant reductions, its price remains higher than some of its competitors, such as the MG ZS (starting at 538 million VND) and the Mazda CX-3 (from 512 million VND).

Introduced to the Vietnamese market in late 2022, the Nissan Kicks e-Power stands out with its unique series-hybrid powertrain. It utilizes e-Power technology, incorporating an electric motor, lithium-ion battery, inverter, gasoline engine, and generator.

The electric motor in the Nissan Kicks e-Power delivers an impressive 136 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. The 1.2L 3-cylinder DOHC 12-valve gasoline engine generates 82 horsepower and 103 Nm of torque.

Interestingly, the gasoline engine in this model does not directly power the vehicle but instead acts as a generator to charge the battery. The electric motor takes on the role of propulsion, allowing the Nissan Kicks e-Power to operate like an electric car without the need for external charging and offering exceptional fuel efficiency.

According to data from the Vietnam Registry, the Nissan Kicks boasts impressive fuel economy, consuming just 2.2L/100km in city driving, 6.1L/100km on highways, and 4.6L/100km in combined cycles.
