As of August 2024, dealerships continue to offer massive discounts on the Nissan Kicks B-segment SUV to clear out inventory.
Specifically, a dealership in Ho Chi Minh City is offering the Nissan Kicks V at a discounted price of 618 million VND, a reduction of 240 million VND from the original list price of 858 million VND.
Meanwhile, in Hanoi, this B-class SUV is offered with lower discounts ranging from 220 to 230 million VND. Depending on the dealership, customers who purchase the vehicle during this period may also receive a complimentary accessory package worth 10 to 15 million VND.
The Nissan Kicks is currently one of the B-size SUVs with the highest discounts in the Vietnamese market. However, despite the significant reduction, compared to competitors such as the MG ZS (starting at 538 million VND) and the Mazda CX-3 (from 512 million VND), the Nissan Kicks still carries a higher price tag.
Introduced in the Vietnamese market in late 2022, the Nissan Kicks e-Power stands out with its series-hybrid powertrain. It features the e-Power technology, which includes an electric motor, lithium-ion battery, inverter, gasoline engine, and generator.
The electric motor of the Nissan Kicks e-Power delivers a maximum output of 136 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. The 3-cylinder, DOHC, 12-valve gasoline engine has a displacement of 1.2 liters and produces 82 horsepower and 103 Nm of torque.
Interestingly, the gasoline engine in this model does not drive the wheels directly; instead, it functions as a generator to charge the battery. The electric motor takes on the role of propulsion, allowing the Nissan Kicks e-Power to operate like an electric vehicle without the need for external charging and with exceptional fuel efficiency.
According to data from the Vietnam Registry, the Nissan Kicks boasts impressive fuel economy, consuming 2.2L/100km in city driving, 6.1L/100km on highways, and 4.6L/100km in a combined cycle.
