Vietnam’s motorcycle market continues to face a gloomy outlook from the beginning of the year, forcing dealers and manufacturers to offer price cuts and gifts to attract buyers and boost sales. Notably, at the beginning of August 2024, a new entrant joined the market race with an incredible discount of up to 44 million VND.
At some Yamaha Town dealerships in Hanoi, the YZF R3 is being offered at a price of only 90 million VND, a discount of 42 million VND from the original price of 132 million VND. Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, the publicly offered price for the R3 is 88.3 million VND (a discount of 43.7 million VND from the listed price).
According to some dealers, this rare deep discount is intended to clear inventory and sell off existing stock to prepare for the upcoming launch of the new Yamaha R3. Depending on the dealership, customers may also receive additional gifts such as helmets and oil change vouchers.
