On August 2, 2024, at the Unification Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, Duy Tan Plastics Joint Stock Company was honored in the rankings of the “Top 50 Sustainable Development Enterprises in Vietnam 2024” by Nhịp Cầu Đầu Tư magazine.

This is the first time Duy Tan has participated and also the first time it has received this prestigious award for sustainable development. This achievement holds great significance in the journey of a 37-year-old plastic company pursuing a sustainable development strategy.

Over the years, Duy Tan has always considered sustainable development as an important strategy. The company pioneers the strategy of “optimizing sustainable materials”. Duy Tan always uses safe and certified raw materials from reputable suppliers, which are strictly controlled to bring high-quality, durable products to the market.

Especially, the company reduces product/packaging weight by lightweight design innovation, decreases the consumption of virgin plastic in production to optimize material usage, and provides creative solutions to contribute to improving plastic waste recycling and environmental protection, which are current concerns.

FRIENDLY, CREATIVE, AND SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS

As a reputable 37-year-old plastic brand in Vietnam, Duy Tan always considers sustainable production, green product development, and promotion of a circular economy as factors affirming the responsibility of an enterprise.

In an effort to achieve the goal of “Reducing plastic and optimizing plastic usage”, recently, Duy Tan has successfully produced a type of lid that is attached to the bottle with a lightweight design, bringing many benefits to plastic recycling. The product is manufactured according to the international BRC Global standard for Packaging and Compliance with the new EU packaging regulations.

Not only producing attached lids for drinking water bottles, but Duy Tan also expands to attached lids for CSD (Carbonated Soft Drink) bottles with a size of 26/22.

For its partner Nestlé, Duy Tan also launched soy sauce and oyster sauce products with a lid that eliminates the guarantee ring, or reduces plastic in packaging, helping to save and significantly reduce plastic waste discharged into the environment…

Duy Tan factory uses safe raw materials that are quality-assured.

Recycling is Duy Tan’s priority in all production activities. Waste products (defective, damaged, or broken products, etc.) are 100% recycled and fed back into the input materials. Recycled plastic pellets are used in the thousands of tons each year. Currently, Duy Tan’s packaging products have achieved high recyclability – RRC (recyclable, reusable, or compostable), with some products made entirely from recycled materials, such as pallets and flower pots.

The management system of the Duy Tan factory also meets the ISCC standard for carbon management and sustainability in the supply chain, the SCG Green Choice standard for recycled content and reduced plastic consumption…
