According to Let’s Go Taxi, the company has recently signed a deal to purchase 600 VF 3 electric vehicles from VinFast, the Vietnamese automotive brand.
This strategic partnership aims to strengthen Let’s Go Taxi’s expansion plans for 2024-2025 across several provinces in Vietnam, including Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Da Nang, and the Central Highlands region. As per the agreement, the first batch of 200 VinFast electric vehicles will be delivered by the end of 2024.
Currently, the VinFast VF 3 is one of the most competitively priced electric vehicles in the Vietnamese market, retailing at VND 240 million (lease battery) and VND 322 million (with battery) for the four basic exterior color options. With this deal, Let’s Go Taxi is estimated to invest approximately VND 144-193.2 billion in their new fleet, depending on whether they choose to lease or purchase the batteries.
Previously, TOGO Group also announced their contract to purchase/sell 1,000 VinFast electric vehicles, including the VF 3 model. However, the exact number of VF 3 units in this deal remains undisclosed.
In the Vietnamese market, the VinFast VF 3 boasts dimensions of 3,190 mm in length, 1,679 mm in width, and 1,621 mm in height, with a generous ground clearance of 191 mm.
The vehicle is equipped with a host of features and an infotainment system that caters to the daily needs of urban commuters. It includes a 10-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Additionally, the rear seats can be folded down completely to create more cargo space, offering a total capacity of 550 liters.
Despite its affordable price tag, the VF 3 impresses with a range of up to 210 km on a single charge, and it only takes 30 minutes to charge the battery up to 70%. According to the manufacturer, the VF 3 has an energy consumption rate of 83.3W/1 km, which translates to approximately VND 4,000 per 10 km of driving, making it extremely cost-effective for daily use.
VinFast offers an extensive warranty for the VF 3, including a 7-year/160,000 km warranty (whichever comes first) for the vehicle and an 8-year unlimited-kilometer warranty for the high-voltage battery.
