Empowering Healthcare Accessibility for the Underserved

VNVC and Mcredit have joined forces to alleviate financial barriers for underserved communities, offering a flexible ‘buy now, pay later’ scheme with installments over 6 or 12 months. This initiative has enabled thousands of children, students, workers, seniors, and retirees to access vital vaccinations. In just one year, the program provided over 100,000 interest-free vaccine doses to nearly 7,000 individuals, primarily children, ensuring they receive high-quality and timely vaccinations. VNVC has generously covered all interest costs for these beneficiaries.

Mr. Le Minh Duc, Deputy Director of Business Market at Mcredit, shared: “Empathizing with the challenges faced by the community in healthcare access, Mcredit is the first consumer finance company to initiate support for medical installment plans. We ensure that individuals from all walks of life and geographic locations can access this health-protecting vaccination program, enhancing their quality of life.”

With a humanitarian goal of serving the community, Mcredit offers convenient loan procedures with simple requirements. Applicants need only a national ID or citizen ID and can complete the identity verification process in a few minutes. Most beneficiaries receive disbursements on the same day as their vaccination appointment.

The diverse range of beneficiaries, including homemakers, factory workers, office employees, freelancers, students, and fresh graduates, reflects the program’s positive impact and timely assistance to those with high vaccination needs but financial constraints. Many participants, recognizing the program’s humanitarian value, have proactively shared this information with their loved ones and friends.

Mcredit takes the lead in offering medical installment plans, ensuring accessibility to vital healthcare services.

Promoting Safe Vaccinations and Enhancing Community Immunity

As shared by Ms. Pham Hong Thuy, Customer Care Director of VNVC, since the introduction of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), dangerous infectious diseases like tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough, and hepatitis B have witnessed a significant decline in the community. However, these diseases have not been entirely eradicated and could resurge if community vaccine coverage decreases. Recently, measles, whooping cough, meningococcal disease, chickenpox, and Japanese encephalitis have seen rising case numbers, predominantly among the unvaccinated. Meanwhile, the EPI often faces vaccine shortages, and vaccines not included in the program have low coverage rates. In addition to children, other vulnerable groups like adolescents, pregnant women, and the elderly with underlying health conditions require vaccination protection.

After one year of implementation, the ‘vaccinate now, pay later’ program at VNVC has proven to break down financial barriers, increase access, and promote vaccine equity for all, especially the underprivileged, those in remote areas, and those facing challenges in accessing safe and high-quality vaccination services. Through the provision of over 100,000 vaccine doses covering a range of diseases for both children and adults, the program has also contributed to enhancing community immunity.

We believe that the partnership and support between VNVC and Mcredit will provide much-needed relief to families facing financial hardships in the post-pandemic era. It will empower them to ensure their children receive timely, catch-up, and booster vaccinations with important vaccines. Families can also benefit from safe, high-quality, and effective vaccination services at VNVC, Vietnam’s leading trusted vaccination system.
