The People’s Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province has just announced the list of land areas to be auctioned for land use rights in 2024. These areas, organized by the Provincial Land Development Center and approved by the Provincial People’s Committee for land use in 2024, have undergone a rigorous process, taking into account national defense, security, and legal land use, planning, and infrastructure connectivity.
Specifically, the locality will auction land use rights for nine areas, five of which are in Vung Tau City. These include the former Tourist Market, the 13.8-hectare site at Mui Nghinh Phong, land reclaimed from Vung Tau International Medical Initiative Co., Ltd., the 76.7-hectare urban area along 3/2 Road, and the 1.4-hectare “Tom Cang Xanh” area.

Among these areas, the former Tourist Market in Thang Tam Ward and the land at Mui Nghinh Phong in Ward 2 have attracted significant attention. These two sites, zoned for commercial and service use, are located in prime, central locations for Vung Tau City’s tourism development.
Notably, the Mui Nghinh Phong site (mainly a sandy area opposite Hon Ba) is planned as a high-quality tourism, entertainment, and resort area, ensuring harmonious development with the surrounding landscape and environment. This site has been planned for auction several times but has not yet been implemented.
Long Dien District has three auction sites, including 0.68 hectares reclaimed from Thanh Chi Joint Stock Company, 0.71 hectares reclaimed from the Long Hai Seafood Warehouse, and 1.11 hectares reclaimed from Mía Đường II General Corporation. All three areas are zoned for commercial, service, or tourism use.
The last site is located in Phu My Town, covering an area of 1.7 hectares, and is planned for healthcare facilities to realize a 200-bed general hospital project.
It is expected that after the successful auction of these land areas, the local budget will receive more than VND 10,000 billion. This is a tentative figure based on the land price frame of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province for the five-year period 2020-2024.
According to the plan, from now until the end of 2025, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province is expected to auction 106 land areas with a total area of more than 396 hectares.
