On August 9, the Office of the People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province announced that Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, had issued conclusions following an inspection of several projects and constructions in Tien Phuoc, Nui Thanh, Que Son, and Tam Ky City.

The Tam Giang Bridge project, with an investment of VND 150 billion, has been under construction for 6-7 years due to land clearance issues.

According to the announcement, on August 3, Mr. Le Van Dung inspected eight projects and constructions in the four aforementioned localities. These projects have experienced delays, with some, like the Tam Giang Bridge in Nui Thanh, taking 6-7 years to complete.

Regarding the project to promote the value of the memorial site of Huynh Thuc Khang in Tien Phuoc, the Chairman instructed the Provincial Project Management Board to monitor and urge the contractor to focus on completing the construction before March 1, 2025, for the items at the original memorial site, ensuring progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications and technical and artistic requirements.

For the Tam Giang Bridge project in Nui Thanh, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested that the People’s Committee of Nui Thanh focus on directing, handling, and resolving land clearance issues and urge the contractor to expedite the demolition process on the cleared land to accelerate construction progress.

Concerning the Tam Anh Bac Commune Health Station construction in Nui Thanh, which is part of the project to build, upgrade, renovate, and equip 76 commune health stations, the Chairman requested that the People’s Committee of Nui Thanh promptly address issues related to land, compensation, and site clearance to initiate construction and complete the station in 2024.

Regarding the project to upgrade and renovate the Tam Ky Stadium and accommodation for athletes in Tam Ky City, the Chairman instructed the Provincial Project Management Board to direct the contractor to expedite progress, ensuring that the lighting system and three grass pitches are completed before August 15 to facilitate the organization of the 2024-2025 V-League season in September 2024.

Tran Dai Nghia High School project has been delayed for a long time.

For the project on the technical area of Quang Nam General Hospital, the Chairman requested that the Provincial Project Management Board urgently implement procedures and select a contractor for the “medical equipment procurement and installation” package in the third quarter of 2024. The technical area should be completed, accepted, and put into use before February 3, 2025.

For the projects of the Que Son District Medical Center, Que Son High School, and Tran Dai Nghia High School in Que Son, the Chairman requested that the Provincial Project Management Board and the People’s Committee of Que Son promptly address obstacles and expedite construction to complete and operate these projects.

Particularly for the project to invest in the construction, upgrade, and repair of the Quang Nam Provincial Sports Center in Tam Ky City, the Chairman requested that the Department of Planning and Investment coordinate with the Provincial Project Management Board to monitor the opinions of the Provincial People’s Council regarding the proposal of the Provincial People’s Committee related to the policy on adjusting the total investment capital for the project.
