According to the Decision, the Prime Minister assigns Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, to direct the activities of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment until the competent authority completes the appointment of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment as regulated.
The website of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment outlines Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa’s responsibilities as follows: providing guidance and resolving issues related to the field of surveying and mapping; handling legal affairs, commendations and rewards, and training and fostering officials, public servants, and employees;
Directly managing the Department of Commendations, Rewards, and Propaganda; the Vietnam Administration of Surveying and Mapping; the Institute of Geodesy and Cartography; and the School of Training and Fostering Officials in Natural Resources and Environment. Assisting the Minister in managing the Department of Legal Affairs, the Department of Organization and Personnel, and the Inspectorate of the Ministry;
Overseeing the Red River Delta provinces: Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, and Ninh Binh, as well as the cities of Hanoi and Haiphong.
