The Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) has issued Directive No. 01/CT-BKHDT to implement the Government’s Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP dated July 7, 2024, on key tasks and solutions for the last six months of 2024 and the orientation of the socio-economic development plan and state budget estimate for 2025.

At the same time, the MPI pays attention to implementing planning; focusing on building and submitting to the Prime Minister for approval the plan to implement the planning, in which it clearly defines the key contents, progress, and resources for implementing the programs and projects in the planning, ensuring flexibility, practicality, and meeting the requirements of development.

One of the tasks also focused on by the MPI is to strongly promote the shift of the economic structure and innovation of the growth model.

That is, to strengthen the activities of the Regional Coordination Councils to implement the Regional Planning, promote regional linkage, and solve inter-regional issues to create new growth drivers and poles for the country. Improve analytical, forecasting, and statistical capacity to better meet the requirements of timeliness, accuracy, objectivity, comprehensiveness, and quality of advisory work and macro-economic management.

On the other hand, one of the notable contents in Directive No. 01/CT-BKHDT is to maximize the efficiency of the National Innovation Center and the centers in the regions and localities to promote the building and development of the national innovation and creative startup ecosystem; supporting digital transformation for domestic enterprises.

Along with that, focus on studying, building, and perfecting the legal basis for the establishment and operation of the Investment Support Fund, the Regional and International Financial Center in Vietnam.

Also according to the Directive, there are 43 key projects and tasks of the MPI that need to be focused on implementing.
