The “Best Companies to Work for in Asia” award is an annual accolade presented by HR Asia, recognizing companies with exceptional HR policies, attractive benefits, and outstanding workplace environments. This year, the award acknowledged over 600 companies, with hundreds of thousands of employees participating in the survey. MSD Vietnam proudly emerged as a double winner, excelling across stringent evaluation criteria, including employee engagement, recruitment policies, talent development and retention strategies, and initiatives to enhance employee welfare.
Katharina Geppert, Managing Director of MSD Vietnam, expressed her delight: “We are thrilled to have won two awards at this year’s HR Asia Awards. Our people have always been one of our top strategic priorities throughout our nearly three decades of operations in Vietnam. These awards testify to our serious investment in creating a workplace where every employee feels valued, empowered, and enabled to seize development opportunities to elevate themselves. This is a tremendous motivator for us to continue investing in and implementing even better HR policies.”

These two prestigious awards, coupled with other notable achievements in the preceding month, have marked a significant milestone for MSD Vietnam this year.
Last month in London, the Global Marketing Influencer Awards honored MSD Vietnam’s Minah project with a Bronze Award in the “Best Use of Influencer Marketing Technology” category. Minah, a virtual health expert on Facebook, was created to raise community awareness about the prevention of cancers and serious diseases caused by Human papillomavirus (“HPV”). Persistent infection with high-risk HPV types can lead to cervical, vulvar, vaginal, oropharyngeal, penile, and anal cancers.
The Minah project is a collaborative effort between the Vietnam Preventive Medicine Association, MSD Vietnam, and Ogilvy Health Asia, aiming to educate the community. Minah leverages the strengths of the project partners in technology and data, coupled with deep market insights, to bridge the generational gap and facilitate meaningful conversations within Asian families, addressing sensitive issues for community health improvement.
In July, the company also introduced, in collaboration with the Vietnam Respiratory Society, a broad-coverage vaccine to actively immunize individuals aged 2 years and above against pneumonia and infections caused by streptococcus pneumoniae, covering prevalent serotypes, with no upper age limit.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health approved new indications for MSD’s cancer immunotherapy, bringing the total number of approved indications to 27 (treating 13 different types of tumors), offering hope and treatment opportunities to more patients.
