Bau Bang district’s well-invested transportation system
The decision, signed by Chairman of the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province, Vo Van Minh, aims to materialize the province’s planning vision for 2021–2030, with a long-term outlook until 2050. It also aims to materialize the socio-economic development orientations of Bau Bang district and the goal of building new-style rural districts in the province.
Bau Bang district is directed to fulfill the criteria for a new-style rural area, paving the way for subsequent phases to achieve the targets of a third-tier city and become a provincial town. Binh Duong province envisions Bau Bang as a district developing towards industry, services, and agriculture, with a priority on industrial services. It is projected to become an “Innovation-Industry Center” in the northern part of Binh Duong province and a gateway to Binh Phuoc province and the Central Highlands through National Highway 13.
Bau Bang district plays a pivotal role as the northern economic hub of Binh Duong province, interacting synergistically with the economic spaces of Dau Tieng and Phu Giao districts, as well as Ben Cat city. The district is earmarked for industrial development (multi-sector and agro-forestry processing), a complex of cultural and sports facilities, healthcare, regional-level education and training, regional commercial and service centers, eco-tourism, and cultural-historical tourism.
The district of Bau Bang aspires to attain the criteria of a third-tier city and become a town within Binh Duong province. The projected population for 2030 is approximately 320,000 to 350,000 people, increasing to 480,000 to 500,000 people by 2040.
