A rare find, this 2006 Lexus SC430 has emerged on the used car market. Once upon a time, before Mercedes-Benz and BMW dominated the luxury car scene in Vietnam, the Lexus SC430 convertible was the pinnacle of cool for Vietnamese car enthusiasts. What’s more, this particular model has only traveled 70,000 km in its 18 years of existence.

The Lexus SC430 has caught the attention of many enthusiasts.
The Lexus SC430 was produced from 1991 to 2010 across three generations. It was a highly successful model for Lexus, but by the end of the third generation, its dated design led to a decline in sales, ultimately leading to its discontinuation. Nowadays, sightings of the Lexus SC430 on Vietnamese roads are few and far between.
This particular SC430 sports a bold red exterior. While the headlights show some slight clouding, the metallic details on the grille, fog light surrounds, and side mirrors retain their shine. The car sits on a set of 5-spoke alloy wheels.

The exterior has been well maintained.
Under the hood, this Japanese sports car boasts a 4.3L V8 engine mated to a 6-speed Sequential-Shift automatic transmission. This setup delivers an impressive 288 horsepower at 5,400 rpm and 430 Nm of torque at 3,400 rpm, propelling the SC430 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds.
Despite its classic design, the interior of this 2006 Lexus SC430 has aged gracefully. The leather seats show some creasing, which is to be expected after almost two decades. The car features 10-way power-adjustable and heated seats with memory functionality. A hidden touchscreen display sits behind the wooden center stack, and a 9-speaker Mark Levinson audio system provides an immersive listening experience.

The leather seats show minor wear and tear.
Currently, this 2006 Lexus SC430 is up for sale at a price of 1.199 billion VND, which is on par with the price of a new Toyota Camry 2.0Q (1.22 billion VND). Some attribute the high resale value of the SC430 to its rare combination of a sports car body style and a powerful V8 engine, a unique offering in the Japanese automotive market.
