The “Young Excellent Entrepreneurs” title is an annual award organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Federation, and the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association since 2015.
In 2024, the nomination and awarding of this title were carried out from March onwards.
From nearly 200 applications across 43 provinces and cities, a rigorous 3-round selection process identified 86 outstanding candidates to receive the “Young Excellent Entrepreneurs” title. A further round of secret voting selected the top 10 entrepreneurs from this group.
These 86 young entrepreneurs generated impressive figures in 2023: over VND 2,500 billion in revenue, VND 102 billion in profits, and contributed VND 51 billion to the state budget. They also created employment opportunities for nearly 7,000 workers.
The top 10 entrepreneurs of 2024 stood out with their businesses’ performance: VND 1,128 billion in revenue, VND 64 billion in profits, VND 31.23 billion in tax contributions, and providing jobs for 3,722 people.
Speaking at the award ceremony on August 9, Vice President of the National Assembly, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, affirmed the Party and State’s encouragement and strong support for young entrepreneurs, especially those embracing innovation and creativity.
Mr. Hai also suggested that young entrepreneurs should not only focus on profits but also assume social responsibilities and actively contribute to the sustainable development of the community, environmental protection, and the promotion of social values.
“In the future, the awarded young entrepreneurs should continue to be proactive and develop innovative ideas and a competitive spirit. Adaptability to market changes is key to their survival and growth in an increasingly challenging business environment,” emphasized Mr. Hai.

As for the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, its Chairman, Mr. Dang Hong Anh, stated that as a collective member of the Vietnam Youth Federation, the association has proactively and actively supported young people in starting businesses, creating a positive impact on millions of Vietnamese youth embarking on their entrepreneurial journeys.
According to Mr. Hong Anh, since 2015, the “Young Excellent Entrepreneurs” award has been organized annually. Over its eight editions, the program has recognized 643 outstanding young entrepreneurs, all under the age of 35.
Additionally, since 2016, the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association has established the “Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Investment and Startup Club.” This club comprises young entrepreneurs who have been awarded the “Young Excellent Entrepreneurs” title over the years.
In recent years, with a network of over 4,000 members nationwide, the club has designed and oriented its activities to create a conducive environment for supporting young entrepreneurs and youths in their innovation and startup journeys. It aims to encourage and build a spirit of entrepreneurship among young people, students, and gradually meet the startup support needs of the youth.
“I believe that today’s title will inspire and motivate young people to strive for excellence in their business endeavors,” expressed Mr. Hong Anh. “It will also drive them to improve themselves daily, becoming exemplary entrepreneurs who contribute significantly to the country’s socio-economic development.”
