The Ha Tinh People’s Council recently held its 20th meeting of the 18th term to assess the province’s socio-economic situation in the first half of 2024 and set goals for the remainder of the year.
During the meeting, the Ha Tinh People’s Council requested that the provincial People’s Committee and other authorities provide consistent support to accelerate the progress of key projects in the province. These include the Vung Ang II Thermal Power Project, the VinGroup Battery Factory, and the SVIP Industrial Park.
Notably, in the latter half of 2024, Ha Tinh aims to commence several significant projects, namely the Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park and the Ecopark Urban Area Project.
Regarding the Vinhomes Vung Ang project, on July 13, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha approved the investment proposal for the construction and business of the Vinhomes Vung Ang Industrial Park infrastructure in Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh province. The project will be undertaken by Vinhomes Industrial Park Investment Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of Vingroup, with a 69.34% ownership stake.
The project is set to cover an area of nearly 965 hectares and entail a total investment of over VND 13,200 billion. It will be located in the center of the CN4 and CN5 lots in the Vung Ang Economic Zone, Ky Anh town, Ha Tinh province, and will have a duration of 70 years.
As for the Ecopark Urban Area Project (also known as the Xuan Dan – Xuan Pho Tourism Urban Area Project), Ecopark Group signed a memorandum of understanding in May 2023 to invest in the 154-hectare project, with a total investment of VND 10,000 billion. In August 2023, the Ha Tinh Department of Construction directed the People’s Committee of Nghi Xuan district to initiate the formulation of the overall planning and subdivision planning for the project as per regulations.
On April 25, 2024, the Ha Tinh People’s Committee approved the task of adjusting the regional planning of the district until 2025, with a vision towards 2050. The People’s Committee of Nghi Xuan district is currently in the process of adjusting the regional planning to pave the way for the next steps of the Ecopark project.
