
The first project worth mentioning is the Social Housing Project at Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien (commercial name: Harbor Residence) located at 142 Le Lai, Ngo Quyen District, with Thai Holding Joint Stock Company as the investor, and a total investment of nearly VND 4,900 billion.

Despite the scorching heat in Hai Phong in recent days, the workers remain dedicated to their tasks, working tirelessly on the construction site.

The investor’s representative shared that they are determined to accelerate the construction progress beyond the approved schedule to meet the housing needs of the local residents.

According to the leader of the Hai Phong Department of Construction, the Social Housing Project at Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien is a key project with a large scale and an attractive location in the heart of the city. This project combines social housing with the renovation of old apartment buildings, prioritizing sales to residents of old and dilapidated apartments in the city, in accordance with Resolution No. 04 dated April 12, 2022, of the Hai Phong People’s Council, and Scheme No. 05 dated April 08, 2022, of the Hai Phong People’s Committee.

This project has met the conditions for sale and is currently undergoing procedures for price appraisal, with an expected selling price of VND 17.6 million/m2.

Another project with a prime location, adjacent to the Social Housing Project at Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien, is the Moonbay Residence social housing project at 384 Le Thanh Tong, Ngo Quyen District, with a total investment of VND 1,648 billion. The project is planned over an area of 1.9ha and includes three 29-story buildings, offering 1,294 apartments.

Currently, the CT1 tower has been topped out and is expected to be handed over to residents by the end of 2024, while the CT3 tower (457 apartments) is under construction up to the 23rd floor. This project is highly regarded for its competitive price of approximately VND 18.9 million/m2, making it an attractive option for those seeking to own an apartment in the inner city with a full range of amenities.

Another affordable housing project that is being expedited is the social housing project within the Trang Due Urban Area for Trade, Services, and Workers (An Duong District), developed by Saigon – Hai Phong Industrial Park Joint Stock Company. This project comprises 2,538 apartments.

The project includes ten 15-story apartment buildings, providing accommodation for over 9,000 workers. It follows a unique model of integrating social housing within an urban area combined with an industrial park. The total investment for the project exceeds VND 1,594 billion. As observed, the CT1 tower (296 apartments) has been topped out and is expected to be handed over to residents by the end of 2024. This project is attracting attention with its competitive price of approximately VND 16.1 million/m2 and a total of 2,538 apartments.

According to the Hai Phong Department of Construction, there are currently nine social housing projects under construction in the city, with a total scale of 15,000 apartments. The project has been topped out and is in the finishing stage; Social Housing Project at 39 Luong Khanh Thien, Ngo Quyen District (commercial name: Quang Vinh Tower), with a scale of 216 units and an expected selling price of VND 19.5 million/m2. This project has also been topped out and is in the finishing stage; Project to build apartments for low-income people in An Dong Residential Area, An Duong District, with a scale of 775 units; Project to build social housing (phase 1) in Trang Cat Ward, Dinh Vu – Cat Hai Economic Zone, with a scale of 4,004 units; Project for workers’ housing in Dong Hai 2 Ward, Dinh Vu – Cat Hai Economic Zone, with a scale of 1,562 units; Renovation project for old apartments in Do Son, with a scale of 68 units.
