A blade from one of the wind turbines at the Ia Le 1 Wind Power Plant in Chu Puh District, Gia Lai Province, was broken.

On August 12, sources from Tien Phong newspaper revealed that the Security Investigation Agency under the Ministry of Public Security had requested information and documents from the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) regarding 32 wind power plants as part of their investigation into a case of “Abuse of Position and Power while performing duties” involving the Ministry of Industry and Trade and several provinces and cities.

This case is under the direction of the Central Steering Committee for Corruption and Negative Phenomenon Prevention and Control.

As part of their investigation, the Security Investigation Agency has asked EVN to provide all relevant documents, including negotiation and power purchase agreement records, inspection and commercial operation acceptance records, and periodic and surprise inspection records of the power measurement system and actual installed capacity verification at the wind power plants in question.

Specifically, in Gia Lai Province, the investigation involves the Hung Hai Wind Power Plant in Kong Chro District, the Cuu An Wind Power Plant in An Khe Town, the Ia Le 1 Wind Power Plant in Chu Puh District, and the Ia Bang 1 Wind Power Plant in Chu Prong District.
