Voyah, a subsidiary of Dongfeng, has unveiled its first global all-electric SUV, the Zhiyin. The Zhiyin is the fourth model in the Voyah lineup, joining the Dream, Free, and Dreamer.

In terms of size, the Voyah Zhiyin measures 4,725 x 1,900 x 1,636 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. These dimensions are comparable to that of the Hyundai Santa Fe (4,785 x 1,900 x 1,685 mm). The curb weight for the different variants ranges from 2,099 to 2,227 kg.

The Zhiyin showcases Voyah’s unique design language, featuring a seamless integration of the headlights and taillights, along with the brand’s logo. The rear wheels are surrounded by a black trim, while the front wheels are not. A distinctive shark fin-like detail on the D-pillar also catches the eye. The Zhiyin sports a black roof above the window line and features roof rails.

Step inside the Zhiyin, and you’ll find a large touchscreen display at the center, accompanied by a digital instrument cluster and a head-up display. The use of premium leather upholstery adds to the overall sense of luxury. The infotainment system, provided by Huawei, boasts advanced intelligent features.

The Zhiyin offers ample storage space beneath the center armrest. The steering wheel has a two-spoke design, and all seats come with headrests. The center console accommodates two wireless charging pads, cup holders, and an armrest with additional storage space.

Under the hood, the Voyah Zhiyin is powered by the latest Lanhai pure electric motor and is equipped with an 800V electric drive system.

The Voyah Zhiyin all-electric SUV will be offered with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive options. The four-wheel-drive version features a 76.9 kWh/77.3 kWh battery, delivering a maximum power output of 160 kWh and offering a range of 570 km.

The two-wheel-drive variant is available with two battery options. One version uses the same battery as the four-wheel-drive model, producing a maximum power output of 215 kilowatts and a range of 625 km.

Additionally, there is another battery variant, equipped with a three-level lithium battery supplied by CATL. The battery capacities for this variant are 78.7 kWh and 108.7 kWh, resulting in ranges of 650 km and 901 km, respectively. Moreover, the new model will also feature 5C fast-charging technology, enabling it to charge enough power for a 515 km range in just 15 minutes.

The Chinese electric vehicle industry is witnessing explosive growth, and many of the country’s automotive giants are now offering electric vehicles with ranges of up to 1,000 km on a single charge, far surpassing the average ranges of 400 km to 700 km offered by their global counterparts.

According to the company, the Zhiyin SUV plays a pivotal role in the Let’s Voyah strategy, which aims to expand the brand’s presence to 60 countries worldwide and achieve annual sales of 500,000 units by 2030.
