The Quang Nam PPC office on August 12 informed that Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, has just sent a dispatch to the Agricultural, Rural Investment Consulting and Tourism Service Sports STO Joint Stock Company.

The low-income housing project in Dien Nam – Dien Ngoc Industrial Park, which is behind schedule, is invested by STO Company.

Previously, the above enterprise sent a document to the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee requesting a progress extension and to continue implementing the investment project to build a low-income housing area in Dien Nam – Dien Ngoc Industrial Park (Dien Ban town).

In the reply dispatch, the Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee said that the low-income housing project invested by STO Company was inspected by the provincial Inspectorate, which issued a conclusion on April 11, 2023.

Accordingly, the Quang Nam Provincial Inspectorate has transferred the entire case file related to violations with signs of intentionally violating regulations and appropriating assets of Mr. Tran Chien Thang, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of STO Company, to the Provincial Police Investigation Agency for investigation, verification and handling in accordance with the law.

On June 5, 2023, the Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee also sent Official Letter No. 3458/UBND-NCKS in response to the proposal of STO Company related to the implementation of the above project.

“At present, the case is under investigation and there is no conclusion from the Investigation Agency of Quang Nam Provincial Police. Therefore, the proposal for progress extension and continued implementation of the investment project to build a low-income housing area of STO Company is not yet basis for consideration and settlement” – the dispatch of the Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee said.
