HDBank’s Leadership Representative Receives Award from The Asian Banker

The Asian Banker Vietnam Excellence Awards 2024 is one of the most prestigious and stringent award programs in the field of finance and banking in Asia. The program recognizes outstanding achievements and innovations in retail banking, green finance, technology, and banking services aligned with sustainable development goals.
As a category within the broader The Asian Banker Awards framework, with the leading criteria for evaluation and selection being sustainable finance initiatives, the “Best Green Financing in Vietnam” award was presented to HDBank by The Asian Banker, a globally renowned organization. This recognition acknowledges the bank’s comprehensive development efforts and achievements, especially regarding its sustainable development goals and engagement with stakeholders.
In Vietnam, since 2015, HDBank has been one of the first commercial banks to implement an environmental and social risk assessment system for credit granting. They have also been pioneers in promoting green credit, providing hundreds of millions of USD in financing for renewable energy projects, organic agriculture initiatives in the Mekong Delta, and green and environmentally friendly projects nationwide.
HDBank is also the first bank in Vietnam to publish a Sustainability Report in 2024 and establish an ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Committee under its Board of Directors to directly lead and oversee the implementation of sustainable development goals and initiatives.
