Recently, scammers have been using the logo, information, and branding of the Hoa Phat Group to create fake websites such as http://hoaphat.cc/mobile/index.html and https://hptrading.site to lure unsuspecting individuals into attractive investment opportunities. For example, they might promise high returns on a domestic steel production project, claiming that a minimum investment of 2 million VND will yield a 1.32% profit in just 15 minutes.
These scammers have gone to great lengths to deceive both the public and Hoa Phat’s customers by forging decisions regarding personnel adjustments and even imitating the signature of the Chairman of Hoa Phat Group’s Board of Directors on official notifications.
The scammers have forged signatures and used fake seals to create a notification titled “Realignment of Regulations on Working Hours, Compliance with Internal Rules, and Implementation of Company Policies during the Project Deployment Phase.”
Hoa Phat Group has clarified that they do not solicit investments for any of their projects and have repeatedly warned the public about these scams through their official website and communication channels. They have also taken legal measures by establishing a vi bằng (a type of legal document in Vietnam) and cooperating with relevant authorities to address this issue.
Back in May 2023, the Hoa Phat Group had already issued a warning about similar scams involving fake job recruitment using their company’s name.
