On February 5th, in Hai Duong, the interchange connecting provincial road 392 (Binh Giang district, Hai Duong) with the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway was officially opened. This interchange project is sponsored by Hoa Phat Group (stock code: HPG) with a total investment of 321 billion VND. It is worth mentioning that Hai Duong is the hometown of Mr. Tran Dinh Long – Chairman of Hoa Phat.
Mr. Trieu The Hung, Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the support of Hoa Phat Group in investing in the construction of this interchange. He also stated that the province is planning to develop dynamic industrial zones in Binh Giang and Thanh Mien districts. Therefore, the opening of this interchange is a crucial and strategic connection point for the province’s dynamic industrial zone, laying the foundation for its economic and social development and increasing the effectiveness of the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway.
The interchange consists of the main items: a 215-meter-long and 15.5-meter-wide overpass over the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway, a 33.2-meter-long underground passage, and a 3.6km access road. The total investment for the completion of the interchange is over 321 billion VND.
Mr. Tran Kien Cuong, General Director of Hoa Phat Construction and Urban Development Corporation, stated: “After more than a year since receiving the investment approval and land clearance, the Group has completed the construction and handover, putting this important interchange into operation as committed. This is a gift for the local government and people of Hai Duong and also a pride of Hoa Phat.”
Earlier, on December 24th, 2021, Hai Duong Provincial People’s Committee, Hoa Phat Group, and VIDIFI signed an agreement on the sponsorship of the investment project to complete the interchange connecting provincial road 392 in Binh Giang district to the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway.
Accordingly, Hoa Phat Group sponsored the funding for the implementation of the entire interchange project. The starting point of the interchange is at km9+080 on provincial road 392, and the ending point connects to the Hanoi – Hai Phong expressway at km39+900. The project scale includes the remaining part of the interchange (excluding the items that VIDIFI has invested in).
In Hai Duong, Hoa Phat Group is the investor and operator of Hoa Phat Integrated Iron and Steel Complex in Kinh Mon town, with an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tons of construction steel and high-quality steel. This complex creates stable employment and income for over 5,000 local workers. Hoa Phat is always in the top 3 enterprises with the largest tax contributions in Hai Duong province and actively participates in social welfare and infrastructure upgrade in the area.
