Just before the auction closed, the final bid for this exclusive license plate reached 1.05 billion VND, equivalent to the price of a brand new mid-range car.
It’s not surprising that this one-of-a-kind license plate fetched such a high price, given its “unique” appeal. Recently, as the auction prices for desirable car license plates have aligned with their true value, no longer inflated as they were initially during the pilot auctions, a bid of 1 billion VND is still considered quite high.
