Deep Affection for the People of Ca Mau’s Dat Mui
On August 4, 2024, Duoc Hau Giang Joint Stock Company (DHG Pharma) in collaboration with AloBacsi, Daisy Media, and the Red Cross Society of Ca Mau province organized a medical examination and medicine donation program at Kenh Nam Dat Set, Khanh Lam and Khanh Thuan communes, U Minh district.
This program included the participation of more than 40 doctors, pharmacists… on 25 medical examination and medicine donation tables, who are experts with extensive experience in internal medicine, pediatrics, imaging diagnosis, gastroenterology, dentistry, and pharmacy… They have accompanied AloBacsi and DHG Pharma on many medical examination trips from the South to the North.
In addition, the team also prepared 2 ultrasound machines and 2 electrocardiogram machines for more than 500 cases; blood sugar testing for 400 people, and blood pressure measurement for over 1,000 people. More than 300 children had their height, weight, and teeth checked. Through the examination, it was noted that many locals suffered from various health issues but had not received proper medical attention and treatment.
The medical examination program exceeded expectations, with more than 1,400 people receiving medical examinations and medicine.
The most common health issues among adults were high blood pressure, diabetes, fatty liver, kidney stones, gastritis, and musculoskeletal problems (spinal degeneration and herniated discs), among others. Due to the inconvenient transportation to large hospitals and the intricate network of canals and channels, many cancer patients and victims of Agent Orange (“children” aged 30-35 who still resemble babies due to war aftermath) have resigned themselves to “fate.”
Mr. Toshiyuki Ishii, CEO of DHG Pharma, visited over 20 examination tables and the ultrasound and electrocardiogram rooms. He shared that he was “surprised by the scale and procedure and touched by the doctors’ and medical staff’s dedication to the people.”

On this occasion, DHG Pharma’s employees, along with the company’s leaders, presented gifts to 10 families with difficult circumstances who have made significant contributions to the local community and participated in blood donation activities.
The CEO of DHG Pharma expressed his surprise at the large number of medical staff and the comprehensive procedures carried out during the medical examination and medicine donation program. He added, “Duoc Hau Giang sincerely thanks all the doctors from Ho Chi Minh City for coming to the southernmost point of the country and joining this meaningful program.”
