On August 19, the 10th session of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Council held an extraordinary meeting to elect leaders of the provincial People’s Committee.
At the meeting, the People’s Council conducted a vote to elect Mr. Vo Tan Duc as Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
As a result, Mr. Vo Tan Duc was unanimously elected by the People’s Council to hold the position of Chairman of the People’s Committee.
Earlier that day, the Dong Nai Party Committee approved the decision of the Party Secretariat to Approve Mr. Vo Tan Duc, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Acting Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee, as Deputy Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Vo Tan Duc, born in 1970, is a native of Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province. His educational background includes a Master’s degree in construction management, a Bachelor’s degree in national economic planning, a Bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting, and a high-level political theory qualification.
Mr. Vo Tan Duc has held various positions, including Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Nhon Trach district, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Long Thanh district, and was elected as Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee in late 2020.
On August 2, 2023, the Prime Minister assigned Mr. Vo Tan Duc as Acting Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
