The Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider is not just a sports car, but a historic icon in the world of Ferrari. Known for its outstanding racing success in the 1950s, this model has captured the attention of many collectors and enthusiasts alike.

The idea for a convertible that could be raced and then driven home was proposed by California-based importer John von Neumann. This led to the creation of the 250 GT LWB California Spider, of which only 50 were produced.

Ferrari then developed a second version with a shorter wheelbase of 2,400 mm. Only 56 of these were made, and chassis #1795 GT was the first among them.
