On August 20, according to the Department of Market Management in Thanh Hoa province, Team 1 of the Market Management force imposed a fine of VND 32 million on MOMKID Vietnam Joint Stock Company, represented by Mr. Doan Hai Dang, for trading in smuggled goods, namely dietary supplements.
In addition to the administrative fine, Team 1 also ordered the company to destroy all seized goods of unknown origin and provenance.
Previously, on August 7, Team 1 of the Thanh Hoa Market Management force inspected the “JimTo” store, part of the system of stores belonging to MOMKID Vietnam Joint Stock Company, located at 306 Nguyen Trai, Tan Son Ward, Thanh Hoa city.
The authorities discovered that the store was trading in dietary supplements (milk) without invoices or documents proving their origin. The products included: Roald Dahl Multivitamins 25 ml/box (5 boxes), Pregnacare Breast-Feeding Multivitamins 84 tablets/box (30 boxes), Fenugreek Breast-Feeding Multivitamins 500 mg/jar (24 jars), and Fenugreek Breast-Feeding Multivitamins 620 mg/jar (15 jars). The total value of the seized goods was VND 20.3 million.
Team 1 then temporarily confiscated the goods to verify and clarify their origin, ultimately determining that they were smuggled goods.
MOMKID Vietnam Joint Stock Company operates dozens of “JimTo” stores in Thanh Hoa province. This chain of stores mainly sells products for mothers and babies, including food, diapers, and milk.
