While processing power, camera capabilities, and display technologies used to be the primary criteria for comparison when discussing the most elite smartphones on the market, the game has now changed.
These will remain important factors, but when discussing premium smartphones or the tech market in general, the hottest topic must be AI. In this field, Samsung seems to be leading the race, far ahead of its competitors.
The company launched the Galaxy S24 series at the beginning of 2024, introducing fresh and useful Galaxy AI features, and has continued to upgrade and refine them with its new foldable lineup, including the Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.
It can be asserted that the Z Fold6 is the best AI Phone on the market today.
The Latest and Greatest AI Phone
On the Galaxy Z Fold6, users can still experience familiar features such as a chat assistant for messaging, composing emails in various styles, from formal to social media posts or comments.
Users can also circle to search or translate multiple languages (including Vietnamese) in real time…
But beyond that, Galaxy AI offers even more effective support for both work and entertainment in extremely practical ways – these are not gimmicky features added for the sake of it.
For instance, the Note assistant on this device can automatically format, summarize, translate, and intelligently sketch content. Meanwhile, audio files can be directly converted into text, translated, and summarized, saving you a lot of time and effort if you frequently attend meetings or have a ton of documents to read.
Due to its foldable nature, the Galaxy Z Fold can also act as a real-time translator to bridge any language barriers you may have with the person you’re facing.
In terms of entertainment, Galaxy AI provides a photo editing assistant, making it easier to separate objects from backgrounds or play around with Studio to create AI-generated photos in various styles (2D animation, 3D, watercolor, sketch) from portraits.
It can also instantly draw one or more complete objects in different styles from just a few initial sketches, resulting in interesting pictures and images.
To enhance the AI experience and overall usability, Samsung simultaneously released a few small but significant improvements with the Galaxy Z Fold6. If you’ve used older Fold models, you’ll immediately notice the “wow” factor of the newest Fold, as it’s thinner, lighter, and more user-friendly.
Of course, making a device that’s slightly thinner, lighter, and more durable and convenient to fold and unfold requires tremendous efforts from the design and manufacturing teams.
Holding the Z Fold6 now gives a feeling that’s increasingly similar to a conventional mobile phone, and in fact, its thinness and lightness are on par with several premium bar-style smartphones. The Z Fold6 measures 5.6 mm when opened and 12.1 mm when closed, weighing 239 grams, while the S24 Ultra weighs 233 grams.
The size of the secondary screen has also increased from 6.2 to 6.3 inches, with a 1 mm increase in width and a 1.4 mm decrease in height. This is quite important, as it makes the device much more comfortable to hold and pocket, and it also feels good to use without having to unfold it.
What Vietnamese Experts Say About the Z Fold6
As one of the first people to experience the Galaxy Z Fold6, Mr. Can Manh Tien, a technology expert from VnReview, believes that small changes have made a big difference for Samsung in the foldable phone arena.
“Samsung is the pioneer and market leader. This allows them to control the game and make improvements with each generation. This year, the small improvements in the Galaxy Z Fold6 have made the product truly excellent. Every limitation of the previous Z Fold generations has been addressed by Samsung in this version. The design of the Galaxy Z Fold6 is thinner, lighter, and more compact, and the hinge is now very tight when folded, with no gaps like the previous generation.
The outer screen of the Galaxy Z Fold6 is about 3mm wider than its predecessor. While this change may seem minor, it has allowed the screen to achieve a more accurate display ratio and a less cramped typing experience. Users can now perform all tasks on the outer screen without having to unfold the Galaxy Z Fold6,” he said.
Mr. Tien was also impressed by the screen quality, the chip, and the multitasking capabilities of the Z Fold6: “Samsung continues to equip its foldable devices with the latest and most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, delivering a smooth user experience. The quality of both screens remains excellent as always.
In terms of software, Samsung is, at this point, the most efficient in exploiting multi-tasking functions, taking advantage of the large screen size of foldables, leading the way in AI features, and committing to long-term software updates for up to 7 years,” Mr. Tien concluded.
Meanwhile, expert Tran Phong from Nghe Nhin Vietnam magazine emphasized two points that impressed him the most about the Z Fold6: its appearance and AI experience.
“The refined design is square and sturdy yet thin and light, making it comfortable to hold and use. It’s a foldable smartphone with an elegant and modern look, with every corner finely crafted.
Each cut is paired with soft, curved lines that bring a sense of strength without sacrificing sophistication. The Flex hinge shows an upgrade from the previous generation, providing a smooth folding and unfolding experience,” said Phong about the design of the product.
He also believes that with AI, the Galaxy Z Fold6 has maximized the potential of a foldable smartphone: “It’s easy to be creative with the large screen, thanks to features like Photo Studio, which allows users to create artistic photos with just a few simple steps. The outer screen provides a smooth and quick experience, whether it’s for quickly replying to messages or composing a new one, as AI will complete the message based on the initial content. When using the translation feature, the outer screen displays the content (subtitles) to facilitate communication…”, he concluded.
Nearly 70% say ‘No’ to curved screens, Samsung is right to change the design on the S24 Ultra.
Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S24, has completely eliminated the curved display feature. This move showcases Samsung’s commitment to delivering a flat, sleek design without compromising on performance. With this innovative decision, the Galaxy S24 series offers users a superior viewing experience, making it the ultimate choice for those seeking a cutting-edge smartphone with a seamless display.

Experts believe that if there are no changes soon, even these “last fortresses” LG and Samsung will be lost to Chinese manufacturers.
