On August 19, the Hanoi People’s Committee approved the update of the list of projects for investment in construction of residential and urban areas in the city’s housing development plans for the period of 2021-2025 (third batch).

Specifically, the list of projects for investment in the construction of commercial residential and urban areas includes 36 projects that have been approved for investment with 10 projects currently being implemented and expected to be completed in the period of 2021 – 2025, providing more than 1,000 units; and 26 projects expected to be completed after 2025, providing over 9,800 units. In addition, there are 85 projects undergoing investment preparation procedures, offering nearly 49,000 units.

Regarding the list of projects for investment in social housing construction, there are 6 projects, providing 8,344 units. Among these, 3 projects are currently being proposed for bidding to select investors, notably the project to build a resettlement area for the Hoan Kiem district at Viet Hung urban area in Long Bien district with a total expected investment of VND 3,713 billion, implemented on an area of ​​over 5ha, providing more than 3,500 units, with a proposed schedule expected to be completed in 2026; the project to invest in the construction of social housing at the CT land plot belonging to the CT1 planning area of the project for investment in the construction of technical infrastructure for land auction in Long Bien ward, Long Bien district (with a total investment of VND 300 billion) and the project to invest in the construction of social housing at the C14/NO1 planning area in Phuc Dong ward, Long Bien district (with a total investment of VND 1,000 billion).

The remaining 3 social housing projects are the construction of houses for sale to low-income officers of the Ba Dinh District Police at Bao Van field, Ngoc Ha ward, Ba Dinh district (with a total investment of VND 105 billion); the project to build social housing for officers and soldiers of the Ministry of Public Security in Thuong village, Thanh Liet commune, Thanh Tri district (with a total investment of VND 842 billion); and the social housing project at Bac Phu Cat residential area in Thach Hoa commune, Thach That district.

Additionally, there are 3 commercial housing and urban area projects that have requested name changes, including the new Long Bien urban area project, which has been adjusted to become the project for investment in the construction of a new Hong River residential area; the project on land clearance for land auction to build a new urban area and urban renovation in Dinh Xuyen commune, Gia Lam district, which has been adjusted to become the project on the construction of low-rise housing for sale and the construction of parking lots, parks, and technical infrastructure in Dinh Xuyen commune, Gia Lam district; and finally, the project on the construction of technical infrastructure for land auction in Tu Van village, Le Loi commune, which has been adjusted to become the project for investment in the construction of a new terraced residential area in Tu Van village, Le Loi commune, Thuong Tin district, Hanoi.

For projects that have not yet been implemented or are being implemented slowly and falling behind the schedule approved by the competent authority, and which have not been or have been included in the list of projects attached to the city’s housing development plan for the period of 2021-2025 that has been approved and updated, Hanoi People’s Committee has assigned the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to proactively inspect, consult, propose, and report to the Hanoi People’s Committee for consideration and resolution in accordance with regulations for projects that are eligible to continue or do not meet the conditions to continue implementation.

At the same time, the information should be sent to the Department of Construction for a periodic summary every 3 months, reporting to the Hanoi People’s Committee for consideration and decision to update or remove from the project list as stipulated in Item 1.5, Part V, Section 1 of the Hanoi Housing Development Plan for the period of 2021-2025 that has been approved.
