The Ministry of Finance and Trade has just announced adjustments to gasoline and oil prices, effective from 3:00 PM on August 22nd.

Accordingly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline was reduced by VND 460 per liter to VND 20,420 per liter, while the price of RON 95 gasoline was lowered by VND 540 per liter, bringing the new price to VND 21,310 per liter. Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 16 times.

Similarly, the price of diesel oil was also reduced by VND 460 per liter, with the selling price set at VND 18,770 per liter.

In this adjustment, the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance did not use the Price Stabilization Fund for gasoline and oil products.

In the previous adjustment on August 15th, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by VND 170 per liter to VND 20,880 per liter, while RON 95 gasoline rose by VND 180 per liter, resulting in a new price of VND 21,850 per liter. The price of diesel oil also witnessed an increase of VND 90 per liter, with the selling price reaching VND 19,230 per liter.
