At the end of August 2024, several dealerships announced exclusive promotions for the Yamaha FreeGo scooter.

Specifically, customers who purchase the standard Yamaha FreeGo will receive a direct discount of up to VND 5 million, bringing the actual selling price of the vehicle down to VND 25.9 million, as low as the Honda Wave RSX.

Notably, after applying the discount, the Yamaha FreeGo becomes one of the most affordable 125cc scooters on the market. This also marks a new low price for this scooter model in Vietnam.

Earlier, in early August 2024, the Yamaha scooter was only offered with a direct cash discount of VND 1.5 million. At that time, dealerships offered the standard Freego and the new color option at prices of VND 28.6 million and VND 28.8 million, respectively. The Freego S ABS special edition was priced at VND 32.56 million, while the Freego S ABS special edition in the new color was VND 32.76 million.

The Yamaha FreeGo boasts a sporty and masculine design, with many similarities to the Yamaha NVX. It features full-LED headlights, while the turn signals and daytime running lights are halogen. The front turn signals are placed low, in the same area as the mudguard. The Yamaha FreeGo is equipped with a digital Multi-Information Display (MID) instrument cluster, a smart key system (SKS), and an anti-theft system, although the latter is only available on the high-end FreeGo S version.

Powering the FreeGo is a 125cc Blue Core engine paired with an SMG electric motor for smoother acceleration and starting. The piston and cylinder are made of die-cast aluminum (Piston & Diasil Cylinder) for extended engine life. The single-cylinder, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC engine is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 9.5 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 9.5 Nm at 5,500 rpm.
