Vietjet, Vietnam’s leading airline, showcased a remarkable recovery and demonstrated its commitment to sustainable growth. According to the audited 2023 business results, Vietjet ranked 5th among the top-performing enterprises, with a revenue of VND 58,300 billion, a significant 45% increase compared to 2022. This achievement is a testament to the airline’s resilience and effective long-term strategy.

Forbes Vietnam’s prestigious list of the Top 50 Best Listed Companies is carefully curated through a rigorous evaluation process. Companies are initially screened based on fundamental financial criteria, and then scored on their revenue and profit growth, ROE, ROC, and EPS growth over the period of 2019-2023. Forbes also takes into account the company’s industry standing, governance quality, and future prospects.

Despite global economic challenges, Vietjet maintained its impressive performance in the first half of 2024. The airline reported a total revenue of VND 34,016 billion, a 15% increase year-on-year, while its pre-tax profit reached VND 1,311 billion, a remarkable 433% surge compared to the same period last year, surpassing the full-year profit plan for 2024 by 21%. Vietjet also earned a credit rating of VnBBB-, placing it among the highest-rated Vietnamese enterprises.

Vietjet is committed to fleet expansion and network growth, with plans to add 10 new aircraft to its fleet in 2024. The airline’s sustainable development strategy includes expanding its domestic and international network to destinations such as Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, India, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, and Taiwan, among others, to meet the diverse travel needs of its customers.

Since its listing, Vietjet’s stock (VJC) has been a favorite among domestic and international investors, known for its strong profitability. In addition to being consistently recognized by Forbes as one of the Top 50 Best Listed Companies, Vietjet has also received accolades from renowned global financial publications. International Finance magazine awarded Vietjet with the “Best Financial Managed Airline” award, while Airfinance Journal ranked it among the top 50 airlines worldwide for financial health. Additionally, AirlineRatings acknowledged Vietjet as the “World’s Best Ultra Low-Cost Airline.”
